A wishful Christmas wish list

C: you ever see something and think OH GOD IM IN LOVE, and then realise that it’s completely unnecessary so you shouldn’t ask for it for Christmas? But secretly you keep thinking about it and wish it was yours? Here is my secret Christmas wish list (in the hope L decides he wants to buy me a lot of extra presents)

David Ayling is a jewellery making genius! I follow him on Facebook and he creates such beautiful pieces, I’m always slightly jelly that I don’t own anything! This ring is my absolute fav, I showed it to L and he said maybe if he gets a bonus in Feb so fingers crossed!!! (On another note, follow DA on Facebook as he also does jewellery making evenings etc. Which are super exciting!)

We then have the Leonore Doc Martens. These are my fave brand for shoes and I already have two pairs (which never wear out so will last forever!) so I don’t NEED these… but I sure as hell would like them! Plus.. fleece lined? Who doesn’t need new winter warm boots?

Thirdly (not a word) we have the Violet Voss Ride or Die palette which is available from beauty bay. I did consider putting this on my list cos you know… just look at it. But I have so many unloved palettes waiting for my attention it seemed silly to get another! Sad face.

Finally we have a Mac Christmas collection of 12 mini lipsticks. Now really, no one needs 12 mini lipsticks but surely everyone wants them? I asked L for these too, and I won’t say what he described them as on here but I’m guessing it’s a no! Alas. I do love miniature things!

So guys, anything you are secretly wishing for for Christmas that is totally unnecessary but super beautiful?! Let me know! Xxx

Ps… obviously I don’t own any of these delights so photos are borrowed from their websites! Any problems and I will remove them for you 🙂

Chloe’s Make-Up Wishlist!

C: Doing up a house is apparently a very expensive hobby, so all of my pennies have been spent on skirting boards and new kitchens rather than new make-up – resulting in quite a hefty make up lust list! So I thought I would share my wishlist with you guys! Let me know any opinions and whether the items I have picked are worthy of my saved up pennies!

photo 5

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation – every beauty blogger and their mother raves about this foundation and I still haven’t had the chance to try it! I have ordered a sample as there are no Nars stockists where I live and can’t cope with potentially spending over £30 on a useless product! I need a new foundation ready for gingers wedding next year though, so I am hoping this will be the one.

photo 4-6

Nars Creamy Concealer – same as above… would be ridiculous to get a new foundation and not try a concealer at the same time right? I don’t get too many spots, but I always have blemishes that need covering and pregnancy has resulted in some extra dark circles under my eyes that could do with some Nars magic.

photo 2-25

Anything by Tarte Cosmetics – I have seen some beautiful reviews of Tarte eyeshadow palettes and I really want to try one! I can’t decide which yet though, so if you have a recommendation please do let me know!

photo 3-12

Soap & Glory DIY Brow Bar – my beloved Elf Eyebrow Kit is slowly but surely running out and I need a replacement (boo ELF closing down its UK site!). I love S&G and have never tried a product I don’t like so I think this will be my next purchase to sort out my brows!

photo 1-24

NYX Lip creams or Butters – another brand I have seen everywhere and I am desperate to try! They seem such good value for money and so pretty… I so do not need any more lip products but that doesn’t mean I can’t want them eh?

So there’s the main make up items I am lusting after, obviously the mental list is much longer but I can’t seem too greedy now can I? Have any of you guys tried these products or do you have any other recommendations? #twolittleowls

Our Christmas Wishlists!

A & C: If you have even glanced at our blog, you will know that we a HUGE fans of Christmas, and we have lots of fun things planned for this month to share with you. One of them is our Christmas wishlists. These are the things that we would love to have waiting under the tree for us on Christmas morning, if we were super lucky – but hey, we can dream can’t we!

pinnacle-californium-1-2014-womens-hybrid-bike

Somerby Bike by Victoria Pendleton

Victoria Pendleton brought out a range of beautiful bikes not long after her amazing performance at the Olympics in 2012, and I’ve had my eye on them ever since. I don’t have a bike at the moment, and haven’t had since I’ve been in my new house which is surrounded by fields so it’s perfect for bike rides. I really like the older style bikes though, and this one matches my car (I have a baby blue Fiat 500 with a brown and cream leather interior, which I love very very much), plus we are going on a biking holiday next year, so I obviously need this so I can bike along with freshly picked flowers in my wicker basket whilst wearing a flowery dress. They are a little pricey though – this one it £294.98 with the basket, and £279.99 without (but you’ve deffo got to have it with). You can have a look at the full range on the Halfords website.

Kiko Glass From by NKUKU

I adore picture frames, and these are some of my favourite. So pretty and unique, a collection of them would look lovely in any home, plus it’s compulsory to have your favourite photos framed – although these would look lovely with dried flowers too? These start at £19.95 and can be found here.

Chuppon Self Watering Animal Planter

THESE ARE ADORABLE AND I WANT THEM ALL. Tiny little porcelain animals wearing  tiny backpack plants. Amazing. There are 4 to choose from, each comes with a different plant – either a herb or a strawberry plant. And they water themselves by drinking through the straws. I really can’t cope with how cute they are. The cost £9.99 each, and are available from Firebox.

Check Scarf with Tassels

I still don’t have a tartan scarf and have been looking for an unusual one for such a long time, but I really love this one. Its extra wide and looks super cosy – and it’s just £16 from ASOS.

C:

photo-29

I have had the same coat for 3 years now, and although I still love it (it has a tartan hood… so clearly I love it) I really want a parka with a fluffy hood! I love this one from Asos, which is £85

photo 1-19

So I wrote my Christmas list, gave it to Santa and then I saw this. This palette of fabulousness from Urban Decay. I love it as it contains neutrals like the Naked Palettes as well as some brighter colours too. I have the Naked Basics palette and use it all the time, so I know the quality of this will be perfecto too! You can get it here for £42.

photo 2-21

Now, obviously a new coat and Urban Decay make up is not enough for me. I’m just too spoilt (not really!) and I want a puppy. Yes a puppy. Now I know puppies are for life and not just for Christmas and all that but I am getting desperately broody for a puppy now. L and I have finally bought our house, but it is taking a long time to do all the work on it so as soon as we move in I require a Collie puppy immediately. Like I want to walk through the door and be handed my puppy with a bow round his collar. I’m thinking about a nice manly name like Steve, so it matches Dave the cat. Let me know if you have any good ideas!

What are you guys hoping for for Christmas?! Hope Santa brings you lots of beautiful gifts! #twolittleowls

Vinted Christmas Wishlist

A & C: Christmas is one of our most favourite times of the year, and we love nothing more than shopping at Christmas – so when the lovely team at Vinted asked us to put together a wishlist from their catalogue, we jumped at the chance! Vinted is a fantastic app and website which offers an endless array of fashion and accessory choices from one base. Annie recently reviewed the app, so click here for the full lowdown. So let’s get on to our wishlists!

A:

 9394873

Fedora Hat – £8.00

I’ve been after one of these for AGES, and I really love the shape of this one, plus its black so can be worn with pretty much the whole of my wardrobe!

8733035

Next Owl Boot Toppers £6.90 + P&P

Heheheheh I probably wouldn’t buy these for myself, but I couldn’t not include them and if someone bought them for me as a present I would love them! Owl boot toppers for Two Little Owls? Amazing. I probably wouldn’t wear these with anything other than wellies, but they would look great with them so totally worth it. Originally priced at £15, another bargain!

8545465

French Connection Gold Sequin £33.50 + P&P

This is PERFECT for Christmas. I love tunic/swing shape dresses (they hide the lumpy bits I don’t want people to see). And this one is beyond beautiful. I love it so much, and it would look great for a Christmas party, or even to wear on Christmas day! Originally £120, and this isn’t brand new, but if you’re looking for a bargain designer dress this is ideal.

9871915

New Look Tartan Cape £16 + P&P

I have been on the look out for a tartan cape for ages now, and I love the colours in this one. Chloe has a monochrome one which suits her perfectly (click here to see it!), and I love to steal it from time to time but the colours just don’t suit me. This is definitely on my Christmas list though!

C:

photo 4-4

Urban Outfitters Tie-Dye Camisole Dress £25 + P&P

I love tie dye and I love dresses… so as soon as I saw this I knew I had to add it to my wish list! I would wear this with tights, ankle boots and my vintage leather jacket for a Christmas party.

photo 3-9

BooHoo Christmas Jumper £9

A Christmas wish list wouldn’t be complete without a Christmas jumper now would it?! I always wear one on Christmas day, and for £9 this is an absolute bargain! Definitely going on my Christmas list.

photo 2-20

Miss Selfridge Gold Metallic Skirt £15

I am in love with this! It is so perfect for a Christmas party, the gold pattern makes it super festive! The skater style also suits me, as it goes in at the waist. For any of you curvy ladies like me, this would be perfect for giving you that hourglass shape!

photo 1-18

Miss Selfridge Sheer Pink, Encrusted Collar Blouse £28

I picked this as I thought it would look amazing with the gold skirt! I love wearing skater skirts with a sheer blouse tucked in. The collar is also beautiful and adds even more bling to the outfit (you can never have too much!)

Have you guys ever used Vinted? It is such a good way to get a bargain! Let us know what you think of our wish lists! #twolittleowls

#dearsally : Long Tall Sally Holiday Wishlist

C: for those of you lovelies who have met Annie and I, you will be well aware that I am almost 6ft. This can cause a lot of problems when trying to buy both clothing essentials and fashionable pieces – seriously, trousers and pyjama bottoms are always ankle (knee) swingers on me! I have always shopped at Long Tall Sally for my jeans, pj’s and long tops, so when they asked me to do a Christmas wishlist for them I jumped at the chance! The quality of their clothes is fantastic and their customer service is always fab! So anyway, lets get to the looks I have designed!

Christmas Shopping

I went for a casual, comfy look as when you are rushing around Christmas shopping you need easily removable layers for when going in and out of shops! Shopping can also be stressful, so comfort is key! I would team these with the Chuck Naylor Converse Long Tall Sally also sell here.

photo 3(10)

1. Rip and Repair Boyfriend Jean £60

2. Jersey Marl Batwing Top £22

3. Throw on Knit Cardigan £45

Christmas Party

Trying to get dresses that are long enough to be socially acceptable for a party is a nightmare for me, so I assumed I would pick a dress for this outfit… then I saw this jump suit and absolutely fell in love! I love jumpsuits but from any other shop they result in the dreaded camel toe – not an acceptable look for any occasion. These boots are AMAZING too, and I would accessorise simply with this beaded bag from New Look.

photo 4(6)

Ponte Belted Jumpsuit £75

Double Zip Suede Ankle Boots £110

Christmas Day

On Christmas Day you want to look festive, yet comfortable and stylish, which is why I went for skinny jeans, a Christmas jumper and these Chelsea boots. It’s illegal to not wear a Christmas jumper in my house on Christmas day, but the rest of the outfit makes it modern and warm.

photo 2(18)

Robin Sweater £55

Coated Slim Leg Jean in “Wine” £50

Chelsea Leather Ankle Boots £95

Gift Ideas

And lastly, some gift ideas that a perfect for both beautifully tall ladies and anyone else! Long Tall Sallys pyjamas are my absolute favourite, and I never wear anything else, so I obviously chose those and some lovely clashing tartan slippers. I love tartan so much, that I also picked out a beautiful scarf that is super on trend right now so would be loved by everyone! And lastly… the kimono. I don’t think I have seen anything this amazing, ever. I love it so much, I might have to order it rather than wait to see if I get it for Christmas!

photo 1(19)

Vintage Rose PJ Bottom £25

Tartan Check Scarf £18

Velvet Devore Longline Kimono £85

Checky Slipper Boot £25

Do any of you guys shop at Long Tall Sally? Let us know what you think to the outfits I have designed and the gift ideas! Hopefully it’s created some inspiration for all of you tall lovelies and your Santa lists!#twolittleowls

Chloe’s Autumn Beauty Wishlist

C: After our Autumn fashion wishlists, Annie posted about her beauty wishlist for the coming Season (which you can view here). She got in there first and wrote about the amazing Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks that I want SO bad, but don’t worry I have plenty more beauties to lust after and tell you about!

photo(27)1. First Aid Beauty, Ultra Repair Cream (£9.00 from Feel Unique) – As much as I love Autumn for cosying up in knitwear, scarves and beautiful coats, I am not so keen on the accompanying dry, flaky skin. As I also have eczema I was recommended this cream for its ultra moisturising properties and I definitely think I am going to invest before it starts getting too chilly!

2. Essie Nail Polish in Bobbing for Baubles (£9.99 from Boots) – I love the darker nail polish shades of Autumn, they always seem so sophisticated after the pastels and brights of Summer. Essie is one of my favourite nail polish companies, and I love this colour! I also enjoy the Christmas reference… I may already be super excited (/I have definitely started my Christmas list).

3. Mac Lipstick in Rebel (£15.50 from Mac) – I feel like this addition to my wishlist needs no introduction or explanation as to why I want it. It’s a Mac lipstick, its Rebel, its the perfect wintery colour that suits everyone. I think we all need one.

4. Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel – (£7 from The Body Shop) – this is for men apparently… but we aren’t sexist here and I still want it. I keep getting super puffy eyes due to lack of sleep and I have been searching for something that can help with that but not irritate my super sensitive eyes. This seems perfect and I definitely NEED it.

What are you guys lusting after to get you ready for Autumn? Let us know! #twolittleowls

“Go from Desk to Disco with my sumptuous Matte Revolution duos. Each duo is colour-curated to take you from chic and fresh in the AM, through to divine at dinner, and even more mesmerizing at midnight. Buildable, and blendable – refresh, layer, ombre… and embrace the Matte revolution…

A Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick is at the top of nearly every girl’s wishlist at the moment. The rose gold packaging, the matte tones and the berry shades – what more could a blogger want. My favourites from her new matte revolution range are the Glastonberry (lol) and Bond Girl – and she offers them in a ‘Desk to Disco’ set for £42.00, or £23.00 for one. Why add one to my wishlist when I can add two? Click here to see her other amazing shades.

original_you-look-lovely-today-canvas-pouch

You Look Lovely Today Canvas Pouch by Alphabet Bags

“This ‘You Look Lovely Today’ canvas pouch is an extremely complimentary and very useful zip clutch from Alphabet Bags. The lovely design has been screen printed in black ink onto lovely thick canvas with a black cotton lining. The pouches have been lovingly stitched and printed in the UK, complete with a heavy-duty gold-colour zip.”

I’m in the market for a new make-up bag, and I’ve had my eye on this one for ages now. I love the simple design, the size and the gold zip (very important to me that things are gold and not silver, bit weird I know). The phrase on the front is enough to make you smile on a dull morning whilst you’re attempting to make yourself look remotely presentable/human. This is £18 and is available through notonthehighsteet.com.

Real_Techniques_Sam__039_s_Picks_1381760202

Real Techniques Sam’s Picks

“A collection of Sam’s favourite brushes. Whether adding to or just starting, Sam’s Picks is an essential for every collection.
– Multi-Task Brush: for effortless application of powder, blush and bronzer
– Buffing Brush: ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation
– Essential Crease Brush: soft, tapered design for effortless contouring
– Setting Brush: complete any look with a controlled dusting of powder or highlighter
– Pointed Foundation brush: use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage
– Fine Liner Brush: ultimate tool for precision application of liquid or cream eyeliner”

I’m also desperate for some new brushes and I’ve heard so many good things about this collection, plus Chloe loves her Real Techniques brushes. This set is £29.99 from Feel Unique.

Korres_Wild_Rose_24_Hour_Moisturising__amp__Brightening_Cream___Normal_to_Dry_Skin_SPF6_40ml_1365691155

Korres Wild Rose 24 Hour Moisturising Brightening Cream

“Wild Rose oil is a natural source of vitamin C, which demonstrates significant repairing activity to fine lines and skin colour disorders, while adding brightness and radiance to the skin.
Wild rose fruit is noted for its high vitamin C level that demonstrates significant repairing action on fine lines and pigmentation disorders. Furthermore, wild Rose oil, rich in linoleic and linolenic acid, offers significant moisturising, healing and softening properties. At the same time, it forms a protective film on the skin that helps the cell regeneration and improves the texture of the epidermis.”

I’m still looking for my holy grail moisturiser – I just haven’t been wowed by anything yet. I don’t get particularly dry skin but I do have the problem of some serious spot invasions at the moment, which feels like it’s been going on for months. This caught my eye because of it’s healing properties – something which will help tame my irritated skin. This is £20 and from Feel Unique (again!).

What’s on your Autumn Wishlist? Do you have any moisturiser recommendations? #twolittleowls
