Chloe’s Spring Wishlist!

C: It is super sunny outside at the moment, and although it isnt exactly warm yet it is making me very excited for the coming Summer! So I thought, what better way to celebrate then by putting together a Spring Wishlist, in the hope that some lovely person decides to treat me to all these beautiful things (wishful thinking eh?)!

photo(39)

1. Asos Maternity Skater Dress in Check £28 – okay so most of you are not interested in maternity clothes, but I think we can all appreciate this as a great dress in its own right. I love checked prints, so this would be perfect for the Spring weather, as it would also look great with tights when its a bit chillier!

 2. Clinique Long Last Matte Lipstick £18 – recently Clinique have really upped their make up game and refreshed their lipstick line. I love their skincare so much, but have never been that interested in their make up until seeing these badboys. I think the Matte Petal shade (a super soft, girly pink) would be my first choice for Spring.

 3. Topshop Semi Previous Teardrop Necklace £10 – layering up jewellery is super on trend at the moment, so this necklace is the perfect place to start if you are unsure! I love the green colour, as it would make the perfect contrast to so many outfits.

 4. New Look Tan Leather Woven Sandals £24.99 – my favourite sandals finally died of old age so I had to throw them away at the end of last Summer (booooo) so I have been on the search for the perfect pair. I love the woven effect of these, brown goes with everything AND they slip on, so I dont have to panic that I won’t be able to do my own shoes up soon once super pregnant! Perfect!

So there is what I am currently lusting after, what about you guys? What do you think of my choices? #twolittleowls

Chloe’s Summer Wishlist

C: it has been such beautiful weather the past few days that I have been dreaming of my new summer wardrobe/make up. I love it when the seasons change and you have the perfect excuse for a little retail therapy, so here’s what I have been lusting after.

photo-13

Topshop Leaf Print Sundress £38. I absolutely adore the print on this, and it is the perfect comfy dress to throw on when its hot weather. I might have to invest.

Maxfactor 3 in 1 foundation. I have heard great things about this and I really want to try it. This is perfect for festivals etc when you want good coverage/a primer but don’t want to waste time applying make up. 3 steps in 1? I am sold.

Topshop Giggle Geek Shoes £30. I love these/I am a geek so even the name fits me perfectly. I think these would be the perfect summer work shoes as they are still smart and not opened toed. I would have ordered them already, but I have to try shoes on as I am awkward/between sizes.

Revlon Lip Butters. Once again I have heard amazing things about these and to be honest it doesn’t take a lot of persuasion to get me to buy new lipsticks. I can’t decide on a colour yet so if you have recommendations please do let me know, but these sound perfect for low maintenance summer lips!

What are you guys lusting after this month? #twolittleowlsblog

Chloe’s Summer/Cat OOTD

C: It is lovely and summery here today in Annie’s beautiful garden, and we both finished work early so we thought we would do an OOTD for you! Bill didn’t want to miss out so we thought we had better include him – cutest cat ever.

 image-22

I teamed this floral skirt with quite a plain top (lace counts as plain, right?) and sandals. This skirt is really versatile as it can be both dressed up and worn casually. I also really like the length for summer as you don’t have to wear tights in the warm months.

Bill was really impressed with my outfit, he agreed that it was perfect for Summer. He loved it so much he kissed me.

Top – Topshop, Skirt – Primark, Sunglasses – Primark, Sandals – Warehouse.

Hope you enjoyed my OOTD, what style are you going for this Summer? #twolittleowlsblog

A mini Monday haul.

20140602-162158-58918396.jpg

20140602-162232-58952406.jpg
A: so today I sat a three hour exam, and to congratulate myself on finishing I decided to go on a little shopping trip.

First of all I went to our local Outfit which was a really good idea because there happened to be a sale on (also a bit of a bad idea cause you have to buy something if there’s a sale don’t you?). I got these lovely brown sandals from the Dorothy Perkins section, they are made from really soft leather and were super comfy when I tried them on, which is always a good sign! They had 20% off too so they were reduced from £20 to £16, which is a bargain for leather sandals. Next, I found these midi rings in the sale. Chloe bought me some very similar to this for my birthday but they are skinner and I fancied some chunky ones too – and they were £3 in the sale so I couldn’t say no. I used my student card too, which is amazing in Outfit because there’s such a wide range of high street brands, meaning I got another 10% off!

Next, I went to H & M. Now whenever you don’t have loads of money to spend, you practically want to buy everything in the shop, but as soon as you have some extra pennies you can’t find anything you fancy?! Well that happened today, the one where I wanted to buy everything I tried on and I had very limited funds. I managed to limit myself though and chose my most favourite – this lovely 90’s style slip dress. I love the 90’s vibe that’s going on at the moment (although it is a little scary being in my mid-twenties and I can already remember wearing these fashions the first time round – jelly shoes and stretchy choker necklaces, I wore those when I was 7?!). This dress has a lovely tiny floral print with buttons in the contrasting black all the way down the front. It’s a perfect length too, so it can be worn with or without tights throughout the year, and I’m thinking it could look cute with a long-sleeved top underneath too – or is that too retro?! For now though, it’s a really good addition to my summer staples, and they had five other really pretty prints which I will more than likely have to invest in. It cost £9.99 so a bargain for such a wearable dress.

What have you been buying recently? #twolittleowls

Review: Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream

C: So Annie is going on holiday today and has left me in charge of the blog for 2 weeks – lucky you lot! So to start us off I am reviewing Soap & Glory’s Heel Genius foot cream.

Many of you may know that I am a massive Soap & Glory fan. I have not used any of their make up yet (I wish!) but I have tried and have massive stashes of most of their body care range. I received a full size (125ml) and a miniature tube of this for Christmas and at first I was quite dubious. I am not particularly fond of feet (even my own) and touching my feet to rub cream in seriously freaked me out (my feet aren’t that bad, honest) . Creams I have tried in the past have never worked but I started using this in January and it has lived on my bedside table ever since.

It is a lovely thick cream that sinks in quickly and is super moisturising. You don’t need much product, I use about a 10p sized blob (professional terminology) and the tube hasn’t run out yet so definitely worth the £5.50 price tag. After a few days my feet had turned soft with no dry patches – S&G say use it as often as you remember but I would say you need to be using it at least every other day for it to have an affect. I am now no longer scared of touching my own feet (ish) and they are ready for a pedicure and sandals if the sun ever comes out!

As a side note it also doesn’t smell too menthol-y. Why does everyone make foot products smell like mint, teeth and feet shouldn’t smell the same. Have any of you guys tried this? I would definitely recommend as an investment for the summer! #twolittleowlsblog

Holiday Haul

A: Yesterday was a good day for me, I went on a bit of a shopping spree with some birthday money I had been given as an early present. Because I’m going on holiday next week, I though I might as well treat myself to some new holiday essentials. I’d already had an idea of what I wanted (and posted a wishlist last week), and although I didnt get exactly what was on my list – I’m still super happy!

Image

I bought way too much stuff and some of it was just normal holiday essentials, but I took pictures of the fun stuff for you!

The strange wonderous tassely capey thing is from Primark and is going to be perfect for a poolside cover up (it also makes me feel amazing when I wear it, my boyfriend thinks I’m really weird for wearing it around the house though…). Chloe spotted this and it was a bargain for £15.

Next, I found this lovely shift dress for £13 and this cream maxi skirt with a lace panel on the front for £10. These are both from Primark too, it’s the perfect shop for holiday buys!!

I had found my perfect sandals on the Topshop website but I wanted to try them before I bought them. Unfortunately my local shop didn’t have any but I found these gorgeous leather sandals in Office instead. I really like these, and I love the colour – they won’t match much of my clothes but this is a bonus for me! I hate coordinating! They look like they’re going to be really comfy too, and they were £32 without my 10% student discount so a super bargain!

Annie’s Holiday Wish List: Part 1

A: So as i’m sure you’ve noticed (because I’m SO excited!) I am off on holiday soon, and I’ve been trawling the internet to find some holiday goodies. There’s so many new things that I obviously need to buy that I thought I’d do them in two parts; my clothes and accessories wish list today, and my beauty wish list in Part 2.

Image

Top of the list is this amazing swimsuit. I’ve already got a couple of bikinis ready to pack but I though I had better find something for those days where I’ve eaten too much and need to hide the belly. I love this Ferdinand Monokini, it covers all the right places and I’m not particularly blessed in the boob department so the fringing on this will be perfect for me. I found this on Asos for £52.00.

I love a good hat and I’m so pale and pasty that I burn really easily so this Accessorize sun hat is a must have for me – £25.00.

Holiday footwear is always a bit of a problem for me. I am super picky because I HATE toeposts and my massive cankles mean I have to be really careful with ankle straps. Once I’ve found a pair I love, I pretty much wear them to death and I spotted these in Topshop the other day  – I think I’m onto a winner with them. They are made from really soft leather and will be perfect for the evenings with either a maxi dress or a shorter dress. A bargain too, they are only £30.00.

I’m loving the whole 90’s vibe that’s going on at the minute, including the jelly shoes! It is a little scary though, cosidering I’m only 24 and the things I used to wear are coming back round again! I love this 90’s twin set from Ark. It looks great together or it can be worn as separates – it’s so versatile! £19.99.
