Base: I used my usual Mac BB cream and and Bare minerals as a base, after cleansing, toning and moisturising.

Eyes: Naked 2 palette with chopper on the outer corners and bootycall on the innercorners and under my waterline. As usual I went for a winged liner and lots of mascara!

Lips: I used my brand new Sleek Matte Lip Cream in bright red with a red lip gloss.

So what do you guys think of my look? Can’t wait to hear what you think! #twolittleowls

Ps. Annie is drunk so I’m having to write this for her as she tells me what to put! Lolz

Blogmas 2014 Day 17 – Favourite Christmas Photos

Favourite Christmas photos

Here’s a few of Annie’s favourites from the past few years…

A party with my family, my mum and I all dressed up and my Auntie Mandy looking super glam.

Our nephew was so excited about Christmas, so we gave him one of his presents early on Christmas eve – a Buzz Lightyear costume!

And a photo of my boyfriend when we had a Jamaican themed Boxing Day, and my cousins thought he’d look better with false lashes and lipstick. It worryingly suited him!

And one from this year, my boyfriend and I at the Winter Wonderland in Nottingham sipping on mulled wine 🙂

We’d love to see some of your favourite festive photos! #twolittleowlsblog

Have you heard about The Hunt?

A&C: You know that frustrated feeling you get when you’re looking for the perfect dress for the Christmas party, you’ve trawled through all of the shops but you still can’t find it anywhere? Well the fashion gods have worked their magic and the problem has been solved! The Hunt app was launched by CEO Tim Weingarten in America back in 2013, and has accumulated over 3 million registered users after being advertised as “The Cure for Outfit Envy” with US ambassadors Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks. It’s now been brought to the UK (yipee!) with it’s very own UK ambassador Rosie Fortescue, whom we all know and love from Made In Chelsea and her own blog At Fashion Forte (click here to see her blog and check out her ah-mazing wardrobe).

The Hunt is a ‘community-powered’ app which you can log into, post a photo of what you’re looking for, and let the community of the app help you find the solution to your problem. It homes in on the support we give each other in the fashion world, and it turns trawling through the internet for hours to find your prefect outfit into an easy, fun and social thing to do. And you can even set specific parameters, like price, colour and style to narrow down your search. And it’s free to download on ios7/8! What more could you want?

We were lucky enough to be invited to the the launch party, held at Disco in the heart of Soho – a very swish underground club with  a ’70’s Manhattan’ theme (a wall of roller skates and a ceiling full of disco balls…say whaaat?!). The cocktails were sublime, the atmosphere was exciting and the company was fantastic. We had the chance to catch up with other bloggers, like Candy from Owl Girl, and meet new people too like the gorgeous Maria from Chio Photography. We had an amazing chat with Tim, the CEO of The Hunt, who gave us the low down on the inspiration behind the app and the stats that have already been achieved by the community. The best thing about The Hunt is that as it’s community grows, the better it will get – with more and more fashion enthusiasts helping each other track down their most wanted items.

Here’s a few photo’s we managed to get on the night.

We even got the chance to meet Rosie too, who looked as beautiful as ever in a feminine take on the classic tuxedo.

If you’re as excited about this brand new fashion app as we are, you can download it from the App Store here, and don’t worry – if you’re not on the Apple bandwagon, it will be available on android within the next few weeks. They also have a blog too, so click here to keep up to date with their latest posts! We’ve already got the app downloaded and can’t wait to share our finds with you!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the girls at 10PR for the invite. We had such an amazing time!! #twolittleowlsblog

(sorry about the quality of our photo’s guys – we forgot our camera so had to make do with our iPhones!)

A little treat for you guys who made it all the way to the end of the post…photo’s of us looking less presentable on the way home!

OOTD: Is there such a thing as too much glitter?

A & C: Last night, we went to Annie’s sister-in-law to be’s Hen Party. We were really excited when we got the invite because it was fancy dress – something which we absolutely love. And even better than that, the theme was Charleston!! We both had things in our wardrobes which would make perfect outfits (we can’t decide if this was a good thing or not!). We knew we would just have to show you what we wore in an OOTD!

Chloe wore a black slip dress from New Look and an amazing sequin jacket (otherwise known as her Elton John jacket). She teamed it with standard Charleston pearls and a feather head dress. For make up, she went for black and grey smokey eyes and bright red lipstick, and let’s not forget the body glitter on her cheekbones – it was fancy dress after all!

Annie wore a velvet peplum top with a black tube skirt and a gold beaded cape. She wore pearls and a peacock feather head dress (she’s really sad she didn’t get a photo of it to show you!). She wore massive winged eyeliner, gold eyeshadow and red lipstick.

We had such a fun night, although we are both feeling a little worse for wear today (just Annie, Chloe is a winner). Fancy dress is one of our favourite ever things – if nothing else, it’s an excuse to wear too much glitter on our faces.

What do you think to our 1920’s OOTD? #twolittleowls

An evening out with Chloe and Annie

C & A: so last night, we went to a ball in our local town. We had been pretty excited about this for a long while because it’s a good excuse to get all dressed up, and who doesn’t like getting dressed up? We bought our dresses a couple of months ago (and posted about them here) and we were booked in with Chloe’s lovely sister-in-law to have our hair done. We both went for a similar look (surprisingly…) which was curly, with some plaits and waves – a bit of a boho vibe. Here’s the finished result;

We then headed to Chloe’s house to finish the transformation (neither of us had any make up on and couldn’t look in the mirror at our hair properly because we just kept looking at the lack of make up). First job was to choose some music to get ready to. The obvious choice was the frozen soundtrack, which made us feel like Disney princesses so we did some dancing.

After we calmed down, we moved onto the important work. Make up. We will give you a full low down tomorrow of how we created our looks, but for now here’s the final product.

We don’t scrub up too bad do we?

After a glass of prosecco, we were dressed and ready to go.

20140608-152531-55531124.jpg
Annie chose some huge statement earrings from H&M and a gold cuff for accessories, and Chloe went for a statement necklace from Dorothy Perkins with two gold bangles. We both wore flat sandals (thank god – it was super warm last night and I don’t think we could’ve handled heels with all the dancing!).

We had a really lovely evening, thank you to Chloe’s lovely in-laws for inviting us because it was so much fun.

Just to keep you entertained, here’s some funny photos. You’ll probably notice it’s virtually impossible for us to both look remotely normal in a photo…And our other halves are just as bad. We did manage to get a few nice ones though!
