C: It is super sunny outside at the moment, and although it isnt exactly warm yet it is making me very excited for the coming Summer! So I thought, what better way to celebrate then by putting together a Spring Wishlist, in the hope that some lovely person decides to treat me to all these beautiful things (wishful thinking eh?)!
1. Asos Maternity Skater Dress in Check £28 – okay so most of you are not interested in maternity clothes, but I think we can all appreciate this as a great dress in its own right. I love checked prints, so this would be perfect for the Spring weather, as it would also look great with tights when its a bit chillier!
2. Clinique Long Last Matte Lipstick £18 – recently Clinique have really upped their make up game and refreshed their lipstick line. I love their skincare so much, but have never been that interested in their make up until seeing these badboys. I think the Matte Petal shade (a super soft, girly pink) would be my first choice for Spring.
3. Topshop Semi Previous Teardrop Necklace £10 – layering up jewellery is super on trend at the moment, so this necklace is the perfect place to start if you are unsure! I love the green colour, as it would make the perfect contrast to so many outfits.
4. New Look Tan Leather Woven Sandals £24.99 – my favourite sandals finally died of old age so I had to throw them away at the end of last Summer (booooo) so I have been on the search for the perfect pair. I love the woven effect of these, brown goes with everything AND they slip on, so I dont have to panic that I won’t be able to do my own shoes up soon once super pregnant! Perfect!
So there is what I am currently lusting after, what about you guys? What do you think of my choices? #twolittleowls
C: I went to Annie’s for tea the other night, and we both really liked my outfit so decided to do an OOTD! This is perfect for a Summer BBQ or party, casual but pretty and the long maxi skirt is perfect for keeping cool.
Apologies for the horrendous bruise on my arm, and for the fact that me and Annie are obsessed with posing with the cats and sticking our bellies out (check out Annie’s crazy cat lady post here). I am wearing my New Look maxi skirt, which I got in the sale for £10 – love a good bargain, a while vest top and my Warehouse sandals which you are all probably fed up of seeing.
I absolutely love this floral pattern. It is perfect for these Summer months (although we both wear florals all year round!) and the colours are beautiful. My friend Dani also got this skirt in a different colour which I am now super jealous of as I want moreeee.
And lastly here is a picture of my horrendous moles/this amazing necklace from Silk Purse Sows Ear. I absolutely love all of their jewellery, their pieces are so unique and beautiful. I accessorised with this necklace as it is simple and yet different.
C: as it was my first day off work (week off wahooo!) and my birthday week I thought I would pop in to town, get some jobs done and have a look around the sales. Annie of course came and met me on my lunch break as she also cannot resist a bit of shopping/seeing my lovely (sweaty) face.
First up is this amazing maxi skirt from New Look which was only £10! We are going glamping in Norfolk for the weekend on Friday so this will be perfect for those warm summer nights around the fire. It is a lovely thin material too so I won’t be too hot!
I then got this amazing top from Dorothy Perkins for £10, an absolute bargain when it is all black and gold sequins. If you are a regular reader you will know that we both love anything flowery or glittery, so Annie was super jealous that I found this first!
Annie had bought these pyjama shorts from Store 21 (I had never heard of it either) last week and after trying them on/stealing them I decided to get my own pair. They are lovely and loose/thin so perfect for these hot summer nights (and only £3.99!).
Lastly I went into Sainsburys to do my food shopping and they had some amazing offers on their candles. This one was only £2.10 reduced down from £7! I picked up the vanilla flavour (A: “its scent not flavour” – same thing) as L moans if I get anything else but they had some lovely scents available. I think this jar will look lovely on my coffee table, and it has 3 wicks inside so will create a lovely atmosphere!
Have you guys got anything amazing in the summer sales? Let us know! #twolittleowlsblog
C: Firstly I would like to apologise for the lack of post yesterday, I know we usually post every day but I have not been able too whilst Annie has been away – but she is back on Friday! Yay! So lets crack on with it… my May (yes, May!) wish list!
Vans Chauffette shoes in pale blue (available here) for £45. I love Vans, and they are the only trainer type shoes I ever wear. I think these will be the perfect pair for Summer! I could’t find a good picture of them but these are pale blue with white polka dots!
Topshop Cream Blushes are only £7 and I have never used a cream blush before so I think these bargains will be the perfect place to start! I haven’t decided on a colour yet, so if anyone has any recommendations please do let me know!
This crop top is from New Look and is only £14.99. If you regularly read our blog you will know I love anything tartan/checked so this is right up my street! Would look amazing with my denim, high waisted shorts if it ever gets warm!
Last but certainly not least is this Mac lipstick (Creme Cup) £15. Annie got a Mac lipstick for her birthday and I was super duper jealous. I also have a tendency to buy bright, fun lipsticks and never any that are suitable for every day wear, so after reading several reviews I have picked this one as my next purchase!
What are you guys lusting after this month? Let us know! #twolittleowlsblog
A: Following Chloe’s #featureafriend post yesterday as part of the Boohoo Competition, it’s now my turn to post about Chloe’s style and fashion favourites (to see Chloe’s post about me, click here).
This cardigan is so lovely – Chloe has an amazing array of knitted treats and I had to include one of them. This one from Urban Outfitters goes with anything (or clashes with everything, I can’t decide – Chloe is a pro at mis-matching pattern’s and making them work). The black tube skirt is a staple in any wardrobe and teamed with the white swing top it makes a perfect every-day outfit. The boots are beautiful and I am SO jealous of them, they are also from Urban Outfitters and are just right for dressing up a casual look. Ted the cat wanted to get involved in the #featureafriend trend so we obviously had to include him.
I chose this tartan dress because it is a favourite of Chloe’s. It’s from Topshop and she bought it on a sneaky shopping trip a few months ago and it goes perfectly with her New Look boots which I love. The lace in the dress makes it quite feminine but the boots have a gothic look about them – so together they balance one another out. This is something which is always present in Chloe’s style – pretty, feminine lace and floral prints teamed with edgy shoes and accessories. Her vintage leather jacket finished the look perfectly.
This is my final choice of Chloe’s wardrobe. It shows off the magpie in her – she is drawn to anything remotely glittery, sparkly or shiny and its normally WAY over the top. This is always a plus for me, and this gold sequin jacket is amazing. She normally wears it with a simple dress, like this New Look slip dress. It’s got so many sequins on it that it rattles when she moves. That means its extra fun to wear! The wedges she bought from Primark (on our Study Day Haul Post) go so well with this look, and the gold rope necklace is the perfect choice of accessory.
We hope you enjoyed an insight into both of our wardrobes in our #featureafriend posts, which look was your favourite? #twolittleowlsblog
A & C: We are both going out tonight so we thought we would give you a sneaky peek at our outfits – even though Annie is going to her mums (Mave) for a dinner party and Chloe is going out for a bottle of wine or two.
