A No7 Christmas Count Down – Day 10!

C: we are finally in December double figures!! Two weeks today it will be Christmas Eve which makes me super duper excited! I also was super excited about my no7 calendar today, as so far today as been the best day!

I received the Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil in Bronze and it is AMAZING (although lets not talk about how difficult it was to get out of the actual advent calendar… I’m two nails down).

I apologise for the photos not being amazing, its quite hard to photograph eyeliners isn’t it?! These were the best I managed to get in this horrid winter light that showed the colour off properly. I absolutely love it! The colour is perfect for this time of year – although I’m not sure if other people will have received different shades as I saw a few posts about the lip tint and other people received different colours. I can’t wait to use this on my lower lash line over the festive period to add a little something extra to my make up.

It is also super creamy and easy to use, and it lasts ages! I have swatched it on my arm for the photos and its still going strong!

Have you guys tried this from no7? Any super good gold eyeliner FOTD ideas?! #twolittleowls

A No7 Christmas Count Down – Day7!

C: another day, another morning of no7 suprises and chocolate coins!

Today I received a Gel Finish Nail Colour in ‘red’. Genius name there guys! Normally no7 colours have fun names so this amuses me slightly this morning, clearly baba woke me up too early and I’m slightly crazy.

This is a lovely addition, firstly it’s in a classic yet festive colour. Up can’t go wrong with red nails at this time of year! I also have just almost ran out my only bright red nail polish so this is perfect timing, and a nice time to get a nail polish after the previous skincare and make up offerings!

I have also used a lot of no7 nail polishes before and I love them! The brushes are the perfect shape to easily get a professional looking mani and the formula is nice and thick to give an even covering that is long lasting and opaque in two coats. I haven’t tried anything from the gel effect line before though so it will be interesting to see how they compare!

So happy 7th December! Let me know if you have tried this range of no7 polishes before and what you think of them! #twolittleowls

A No7 Christmas Count Down – Day 2!

C: Day two of my No7 Advent Calendar was obviously opened today (as well as my Maltesers one and the chocolate coin out of my daughters… cos chocolate is bad for children and all).

I received a 50ml Beautiful Skin Blissful Body Wash! Once again a really good sized sample for an advent calendar, and another product that I wouldn’t have thought to buy and try usually. I also love the fact it is hypo-allergenic as I have sensitive skin so hopefully this will work really well for me! I shall be trying it out tomorrow (I showered before opening this so couldn’t try it this morning before writing this post!) so I shall write a blog post about it if its super amazing, or add a little review on to here!

Have any of you guys tried this body wash from No7? What did you receive in your beauty advent calendars? I am loving opening mine, but I am hoping for some make up tomorrow rather than just skincare! #twolittleowls

Advent Calendar Wishlist

A: With the weather taking a sudden Autumnal turn, we are all super excited about cosy knitwear, lovely candles, hot chocolates with marshmallows and warm nights in front of the fire, so to help you even more to get into the spirit I thought you’d like to see a few favourites of mine from the amazing advent calendars on offer this year.

Benefit Cosmetics Candy-Coated Countdown – £60

This is a very strong contender, adored by beauty bloggers everywhere. I have only ever tried a few Benefit products so I would love to have this. It’s packed with 24 mini-versions of their Bestsellers, from Porefessional to ChaChatint and High Beam to They’re Real. Theyre also some super cute accessories tucked away behind the doors too. Unfortunately, I think this may be a little out of my budget but a girl can always dream. Available at www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk from October 16th.

Yankee Candle – £21.99

Everyone loves a Yankee Candle and with their Advent Calendar, you get a new tea light candle each day in one of six seasonal scents; including Icicles, Snowflake Cookie and Christmas Garland. Available now on the website, just click here.

Liberty – £149

Okay, I know this is way beyond most peoples budges – myself included (sigh!) but I couldn’t not include it. The inside is adorned with the a beautiful Liberty print and each draw includes a high-end beauty product, from companies such as Nars, Dermalogica, Weleda and Laura Mercier. If you’re lucky enough to buy this, it’s available on the Liberty website, and instore from November.

Selfridges Enchanted Spells – £85

At a slightly (!) more reasonable price is the calendar from Selfridges. This is packed with high-end products and is totally worth the month. Products from Kiehl’s, Urban Decay, Lancome and Yves Saint Laurent. The perfect way to spend December would be opening one of these little doors of goodness every morning. Available now on their website – just click here!

YOU Beauty Advent Calendar – £49.95

I’ve saved this one till last because I’m pretty sure it’s my favourite (although I won’t be buying it, it’s still out of my price range no matter how beautiful it is). You Beauty claim this is worth £240 – and I believe them. Brands such as Essie, Aromatherapy Associates, Liz Earle and Sisley have been included – and that’s just a few! Click here to see the full run down of what’s included. I really like that they have listed all of the products for you to see before you buy; if you are paying this much for an Advent Calendar it’s nice to know that it’s worth the money – and this certainly is. It’s available now, but I have a feeling it will sell out quickly!
