C: I received this product in my Birchbox this month and was super excited about it. I love getting a full size product (especially when they are £11 and my whole box didn’t cost much more) and I needed a new black nail polish.
I used the nail varnish to create this nail art look, using the dotting pen that I have mentioned in my previous nail art posts and a white nail varnish. I really liked this look and thought it was classy and yet fun!
Unfortunately (as much as I dislike giving negative reviews) this nail varnish really wasn’t for me. The application was lovely, it had a smooth glossy finish and dried quickly… but it chipped within an hour! I was really surprised by this so had a look at some other reviews online and they were raving about Leighton Denny Nail Polish and how long lasting they were. So I painted my nails again without using a top or base coat to see if it was those that this nail varnish disagreed with but once again my nails chipped within a couple of hours. I am super hard on my nails and chip them really quickly, but I had left them to dry thoroughly and had only been doing some work on my laptop so it was very surprising!
Has anyone else tried a Leighton Denny Nail Polish? Let us know your opinions or whether I just got unlucky! #twolittleowlsblog

I think you have just got unlucky here, which is a shame. I have quite a few leighton denny and they are all really good quality. What annoys me the most is that the brush is so thin making it difficult to paint with. The crystal finish top coat is also really good xx

Maybe you just got a dud bottle. I’ve only really had problems with the matte formula, it separated really badly in the bottle and applied streaky. QVC is worth a look as they sometimes offer really good sets for cheap
